CSLB to Expand Testing Services for Licensed Contractor Examinations
The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) will transfer the administration of its license examinations to PSI Exams Inc beginning in July 2022. CSLB will continue to develop the license examinations internally.
Moving test administration to PSI will benefit test takers by expanding the number of exam locations throughout the state, increasing testing and customer service hours, and expanding translator services and Saturday and evening availability.
Notifications for scheduling exams will be mailed to applicants with instructions on how to schedule tests at one of the 20 PSI locations.
This change will not increase applicant examination fees.
